Service Description

Tuesdays 11:00am-12:00am (Studio 1) NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED “An exciting form of fitness for older adults.” Movement Zone Dance You have the opportunity to participate in the extremely popular Silver Top Groove Therapy (STGT) program at Movement Zone Dance Studio. A beginner dance class taught by qualified instructors Sarah (Sas) Cook and Richard Mayes, known as the "Dancing Doctor." STGT provides the benefits of dance to people of varying physical and psychological abilities in a safe, fun, and non-judgmental environment. With all the benefits, along with the music that takes us back to our younger, fitter selves, dance allows for movement regardless of injury or impairment. By dancing, people can achieve that balance of health from the inside out, from the physical to the emotional. In STGT, traditional dance techniques are incorporated with intergraded exercises to improve body movement, flexibility, strength, and interconnection of mind, body & spirit while incorporating Funk, Jazz, Contemporary & Rock 'n' Roll. Most importantly it’s FUN! Term rate: $230 inclusive of GST ANNUAL FEE: $60 pp or $80 + GST per family will be charged beginning of each year or upon enrolment. This will cover insurance, music licences, equipment, administration costs etc. *This is not refundable. *See the Groove Therapy section for more information

Cancellation Policy

NOTE: There are no refunds for missed classes. If a student is unable to attend a class due to illness, injury or compassionate grounds, a makeup class can be taken before the end of each term. CLASS cancellations are sometimes necessary. If class cancellation occurs and make up classes are not available, a refund will be offered for the pro-rata cost of the cancelled class. We will use our best endeavours to accommodate the needs of families but cannot guarantee the rescheduled classes will suit all.
