CONTEMPORARY TEENS INTERMEDIATE (11+)

Service Description

Mondays 6pm-7pm This Contemporary is open to students aged 11+ with previous dance experience. Contemporary is influenced by classical ballet, jazz, lyrical dance, acrobatics and hip-hop. Blending these elements of multiple dance styles and lets dancers express emotionality through movements and breath. Through a variety of combinations and freestyling, dancers will learn to layer dynamics and musicality whilst improving performance quality and stamina, plus developing dance ability, flexibility, strength and musicality. Contemporary dance is interpretive in its choreography and often focuses on emotions and storytelling, structured or unconventional and can be performed barefoot, with shoes, and with or without music. Contemporary offers a freedom of movement that allows dancers with less training or technique to still enjoy dance without the need for perfect turnout or perfect feet.
